What are Guerrilla Gardeners?

Guerrilla Gardeners are people who care about making their city more beautiful.  We want to partner with individuals and neighborhoods to take over blighted areas and ignored green spaces to make them into visual centerpieces and functioning neighborhood vegetable gardens.

Why Bother?

Since Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans has inherited more blighted areas and unused green spaces than most other cities in the U.S.  This provides The CENTER with a unique opportunity to add something to our city visually while cultivating relationships with the community through gardening classes and service.

Fundraising Goals

- 4,000.00

- Tools (shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, etc…)

Partnerships

We are currently in talks with a local nursery and landscaping company to help underwrite some of the costs.  Once things are finalized with these partnerships we will let you know more!
